Welcome to the Roller Coaster, kiddies..

Friday, my family dog was put to sleep. She was a Shih-tzu/Terrier mix, and was 15 years old.
We'd had her since she was 8 weeks old. She'd had epilepsy, and as she got old, she got
deaf, mostly blind, and could barely walk. Cancer had taken over. When the Vet tried to
insert the IV, he could barely get it to take because she had almost no blood pressure.
I was informed of the impending death at work by phone call from my parents, and it
took everything I had to keep it together to finish the day, knowing that I would leave
work and go home to find my dog dead, and would have to bury her.

Rest in Peace, Pebbles. You go to a better place now, and you lived a long, and well-loved life.

Also this weekend was the LUCKY Commodore Computer Expo in Louisville, KY. I was supposed
to pack and leave right after work.. but I was sort of delayed by the above-mentioned event.
I ended up not getting to Chicago to meet Dave and Eric until 11pm, and then we hit the road for Louisville.
Dave's cavalier was crowded, as we didn't expect Eric or I to be bringing so much stuff, but we survived
and made good time, and hit the hotel around 5:30am local time or so..

After that, we had a blast at the Expo.. Saturday night, Dave, Eric and I hosted a party attended by some
of the great names in the world of commodore, including noneother than Jim Butterfield!
Cool party pics here!
(As of this writing, the link was down, but it *did* work, so I'm hoping it'll come back soon.
There was also computer demonstrations and stuff, besides the partying.. ;)
Boring Expo Pictures here..
More Expo pics here!

The expo was a great success, I won some neat swag, bought some nifty C= gadgetry I've been
wanting since I was like, 10 years old.. and had a blast with comrades and friends and family!
Got home and passed out in the recliner and slept Memorial day away, and here I am. What a
strange weekend, indeed.
