Van Progress Report -- Day 1
Mar. 15th, 2008 07:06 pmThings went pretty quick today. Woke up around 8:30, started working around 10am. Got the ABS system torn out by about 2pm or so. Here's a picture of the van with the very large empty hole-spot where the ABS used to be.

Here's a picture of Dad under the hood, finishing up for the day.

Here's a picture of the Crappy Bendix 10 ABS system out of the van.

And here's the picture of the replacement, simple, effective, Regular plain 'ol brakes system.

So, tomorrow, all that's left is to replace the fittings on the last two brake lines, install the power booster and master cylinder, and fit up the brake lines, and theoretically, it'll be done tomorrow and I'll have my van back! Things are looking a hell of a lot more positive than I could've imagined.. 'Course, it was colder than I expected, but it wasn't too bad.
