Pandora's Box open...

So I had my follow-up at the Doctor's office today. Following up was because of that whole fun blood pressure debacle because of the Chrysler hiring thing.

Results were surprisingly good, meh, and surprisingly not so good.

On the good side:

my total cholesterol is 156, and all the "bad" ones are well below normal. The only worry is that my "good" HDL cholesterol was lower than they liked. I never would've expected this at all and figured I'd be getting a lecture.

Meh:

I'm still borderline blood pressure-wise and have been placed on a Diuretic pill.

And the bad news.

The found excessive protein in the urine test. They immediately asked me about Shelly's Polycystic kidneys. I had to do a (pain in the ass) 24-hour urine collection and go in for an Renal Ultrasound on Wednesday to check for cysts. This came out of the blue because everything was for blood pressure. And of course, the blood pressure thing worried me enough about my health without me needing this thing.

And of course, now I have -another- follow-up with him in another month.

I took the rest of the day off because I was not in a mental place to go to work.

I just wish I knew WTF was going on.
