No more instant gratification...
Dec. 16th, 2005 11:10 amMedia Play is closing. All of them.
For a media junkie such as myself, this is a going to cause a major
shift in my paradigm; My Sunday ritual was to scan the ads from Media
Play, CompUSA, and Best Buy. I have a membership in their Rewards program
that doesn't Expire until 2007.
In fact, I got $5 in Rewards in the mail the same day that the Rockford
store started it's Liquidation sale. I was hoping to save it so I could
splurge next Tuesday and pick up the Serenity DVD the day it comes out.
I don't even know if Media Play will be getting next Tuesday's new releases.
I was there last night and couldn't find the Sin City extended cut or Rock
'n Roll High School -- I'm wondering if they've stopped getting in new product.
Looks like maybe I'll have to start shopping at Amazon more.
